Today, I returned from a week-long trip to find some absolutely adorable chibi Guardian stickers from the amazing naye waiting for me. They are so adorable! Thank you so much, naye - what a lovely gift! I will no doubt fail to actually stick them anywhere, but I will certainly cherish them, and much squee will be had. (Does anybody else find themselves unable to actually stick stickers somewhere when they surpass a certain level of appeal? I mean. The choices!)

This is definitely also an incentive to pick up my WIPs again. I was doing pretty well before, so here's hoping nothing trivial and bothersome will get in the way (work and RL, I'm looking at you).

I haven't been keeping up with DW - what have you all been doing? I hope things have been going well for you!

Oooh, that's wonderful - flashfics are so much fun, and such a great gift to give and/or receive. I love that Guardian has a lively flash exchange culture, even if I haven't managed to participate to far.

I finally put a Weilan sticker on my laptop (only the second sticker I've put on it in five years) and now the damn machine is starting to act weird. So yeah, I feel ya on the not wanting to put stickers on things. *laugh cry emoji*

Oh noooo, that's pretty much exactly the scenario that prevents me from stickering! OTOH, some of the uninteresting stickers I randomly deposited inside of my mother's kitchen cabinets are still there today, in all of their dubious glory. Maybe that's the best place for them? ;-)

i know i know i know. I have had this sticker sitting on my laptop for ... the few days that i've had them. But sticking it on there... so far i couldn't bring myself to do it. (What if my laptop dies and then how will i get the sticker off of it again?)

Exactly!! I see we understand each other. But then, it's only reasonable to properly assess all the risks before taking major decisions.

Yes indeed, I am very happy to hear it! :-) Great job - on the flashfics, too. Unfortunately, for me writing feels a lot like pulling teeth at times, so I am far slower than I would like... though certainly not for lack of ideas!

YAYYYY I'm so glad the stickers made it over safely! I've stuck one on my laptop - my first and only laptop sticker. And I put a little Da Qing on my name badge at Worldcon. But other than that I haven't been able to bring myself to stick them down? They're so cute! What if I urgently need them for... something else??

YES, exactly this! And what if my laptop breaks down, which will inevitably happen sooner or later? Then I might not be able to dispose of it because of the cuteness...

The most success I've had with sticker permancence is the inside of my mom's kitchen cabinets. So I have seriously been eyeing my kitchen cabinets... but it seems so unglamorous for the adorableness!
