Acrobat Crossing

This amused me the other day. There's some road works going on, and unusual demands are being made of pedestrians because of it! ;-) Clearly, the workers responsible for signage hadn't packed one that pointed in the right direction - so someone got creative. I applaud their ingenuity, and have decided I like the sign better this way around.

Yes, it works now! It was just leading me to an imgur error message yesterday - the rest of the pics show up fine, too. :D

What gets me is that this sign being upside down was not an act of nature aka wind, but entirely manmade. Randomly soft for whoever thought this up!

Yes, I feel exactly the same! In my mind, the person who thought of this solution is both creative and possessed of a wonderfully quirky sense of humor - just like their colleagues, who shrugged and went "eh, sure, that works". ;-)

The sign is still there, and I grin every time I pass it.

Yes! I imagine the situation as someone very nonchalantly shrugging and using the available sign, and their colleagues then staring at what they had wrought in awed silence. Everyone involved deserves chocolate. :-)

ETA: DW is being weird and told me my reply to your comment was no longer there... so I tried again, and the previous reply made an encore. So this is the kind of reality-warping effect this sign has! ;-)
