I thought Shingo was the one with the knife

Or was he the one with the handcuffs?

And Ryo-chan has them both whipped. That's actually very sweet. :-)

Hey! [livejournal.com profile] k_julia and I just gave him a night of passion with Junno! (Okay, so it was behind the scenes. Still.) What is your complaint?

[identity profile] triela-gg.livejournal.com 2009-06-03 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"Can't get the punning out of any version of Junno"

Uhm, because it wouldn't be Junno anymore without any puns *laughs*
(especially after I read about his appearance at Kanjani8-concert *laughs*)

*nod* He could not voice it in that situation.
Too sad ;_;
Haha, as long as Junno remembers... Maybe he'll tell you again~

Hey! What have we ever done to Ryo? Getting scared of dead horses now. How will I explain them to my mother?

[identity profile] beltenebra.livejournal.com 2009-06-03 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Please, please keep writing Junno-centric fics? This was... well. Breathtaking to be honest. I loved your Ryo and your Junno! It is about time someone wrote him with as much awesome as he deserves! Thank you so much for sharing! ^_^

Don't give me that innocent look, missy...

[identity profile] rheasilvia.livejournal.com 2009-06-03 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
...I see that plot you're hiding behind your back.

*sniff*

Don't think I don't see that pun. ;-)

Shingo's the one who likes to box people around the ears to keep them in line. Subaru's the one who just *stares* at people until they break down and confess everything.

And Ryo-chan has them both whipped. That's actually very sweet. :-)

They take care of their own. :-)

Don't think you can mollify me with cute Ryo icons, you. *sniff*

What have we ever done to Ryo?

You two are so pure and innocent all of a sudden, now that possible horse heads have entered stage left! I will have to keep that in mind.

Ryo/Junno has always been a rare pairing that I loved to read

Ooh, seriously? Cool! There don't seem to be very many people around who share my love for the pairing, so it always makes me feel good to discover another fan who loves the idea of these two. :-) They'd be so good together, and in such an interesting way, too!

Yeah, I may be slightly over-invested. ;-)

I'm very glad that you also enjoyed the smidgeon of Junno/Ohkura, and that the bondage didn't prevent you from enjoying the story. :-)

Thank you very much for letting me know you enjoyed the story! It's wonderful to know. :-)

Yay, another Ryo/Junno fangirl! Well met indeed. :-) (And might I ask what that other story you mentioned was? Because I'd very much like to read it! So far I haven't found any actual Ryo/Junno at all, except for what I wrote myself in my desperation.)

I'm very glad you enjoyed the story - and particularly the characterization of Junno. I agree with you entirely, of course; Junno is very far from being the one-dimensional clown he's sometimes seen as. The closer you look, the more facets there are to him... which is a large part of what makes him so interesting to me, particularly when it comes to writing him. So (long story short) it's great to hear that my portrayal rang so true to you even in the AU context. :-)

Thank you for commenting to let me know you liked "First Contact"!

(Your icon!! Awww. *g*)

I actually limited how much I'd read daily just so I could enjoy this for three whole days.

That's a completely wonderful thing to hear - I completely get the wish to prolong the reading experience with a story I particularly enjoy, and it's amazing to know that you enjoyed my story enough to want to portion it out to yourself like that.

So: Yay! :-)) I am very glad you enjoyed the story so much!

When I saw the pairing at first I was like, "Hm...I don't know", but you totally had me hooked by the first few paragraphs.

Ryo/Junno is a very unusual pairing; I'm not surprised it didn't immediately strike you as the ideal combination. I'm all the more glad that you gave the story a chance despite this, though, and it's great that it managed to convince you!

I take my hat off to you sir! Well...in this case, ma'am! I'm assuming.

*g* Yes, it's ma'am - or actually, just plain Sylvia works. :-)

Thank you very much for your lovely feedback!

It is about time someone wrote him with as much awesome as he deserves!

*blush* Wow, that's a high compliment indeed! I'm very flattered that you think my version of Junno works this well - and that you enjoyed the story so much!

keep writing Junno-centric fics

I definitely expect to for a while yet. Fairness compels me to add that I am a slow and unreliable writer at best, but it's safe to say that as long as I'm in this fandom at all, I will keep writing Junno. :-)

Thank you so much for sharing!

You're very welcome indeed - thank *you* for letting me know you enjoyed the story!

[identity profile] beltenebra.livejournal.com 2009-06-04 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
You are welcome right back again! I was also completely thrilled to find that you're an anime fan as well! I am an old school CLAMP fan, and well... Weiss was one of the first series I started reading fan fic for. ::smile::

May I add you as a friend?

I love this fic. well it's a rare pair. Junno's sweet demeanor in contrast with Ryo's bad boy image eh? Is there a continuation?
ext_3245: (Default)

[identity profile] rheasilvia.livejournal.com 2009-06-04 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
There's no sequel planned at this point, I'm afraid... although who knows. *g*

Junno's sweet demeanor in contrast with Ryo's bad boy image eh?

Yes, that is part of it. They complement each other wonderfully well in a lot of ways. :-)

I'm very glad you enjoyed the story - thank you for letting me know! :-)

Heh! I thought I spotted Setsuka in your icon. :-) Yes, I have a weakness for TB/X 1999 - Revolutionary Girl Utena was the first anime that really sucked me in, and I've come across a number of other very nice ones soince. *g*

May I add you as a friend?

Of course, please do! :-)

[identity profile] beltenebra.livejournal.com 2009-06-04 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh my goodness! Utena is, in my humble opinion, the most well-crafted anime ever created! It is always awesome to find other Utena fans.

::smile:: My icon is actually Yuuko, one of the main characters is one of CLAMP's current series (and my favorite anime story ever, the only one to top Utena actually), called xxxHolic. But I do love TB/X 1999, they were the first CLAMP works I ever encountered.

May I ask what anime you are currently into?
ext_3245: (Default)

[identity profile] rheasilvia.livejournal.com 2009-06-04 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Eek! Sorry for ascribing a false identity to the no doubt far less murderous and insane Yuuko. (Though knowing CLAMP, there really is no telling. *g*)

At the moment my anime passions are all old ones, I'm afraid - I still love Utena, which I completely agree is the most well-crafted anime ever (every single detail fits - every *one*, it is so insanely complex and brilliant and symbolic and wonderful). And TB/X 1999, for several of the characters whom I will never stop finding fascinating. :-) Also, Saiyuki. But nothing I would call current!

[identity profile] beltenebra.livejournal.com 2009-06-04 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
::grin:: I can tell you love Utena exactly the same way I do! I've seen it probably a dozen times and I am still picking up tiny details I hadn't noticed before. Some of my friends and I have actually done an Utena panel at a few anime cons explaining some of our more complex theories about the show. I feel like I could write an entire book about it. ^_^

You would probably love CLAMP's newest series Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, it crosses over with pretty much everything they've ever done, including X!

Also, Saiyuki yay! I have long been a Gojyo/Hakkai fangirl.

Some of my friends and I have actually done an Utena panel at a few anime cons explaining some of our more complex theories about the show.

That sounds like a panel I would love to attend! :-) Yeah, I snared two of my friends into a chat discussing the symbolism and possible interpretations once... and I had to write a fic to get my interpretation of one particular aspect of the whole plot out of my system, because it wouldn't leave me in peace. *g*

Any favorite character?

I've heard about TRC, but it sounded a bit too unfocussed and all-encompassing a narrative universe to me - more like a playful fanfic AU of all previous CLAMP works than anything else. And while I admire the coolness of CLAMP for writing their own fanfic AU, I'm not interested in the mass of their characters - there are only a handful that interest me, and so far I haven't felt like reading the whole epic for the sake of a couple of glimpses. *g*

I have long been a Gojyo/Hakkai fangirl.

Me too! :-)

[identity profile] beltenebra.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
I have no idea where in the world you are from! Do you attend any anime conventions? I will be more than happy to link you to a copy of our presentation if you're interested!

Favorite Utena characters... oh man, that's tough. My very favorite character is Juri, and to an only slightly lesser extent Ruka. Ruka just makes my heart ache (in a good way) But I also have a huge soft spot for Touga. How about yourself?

TRC is extensive it's true. It starts playful but as the plot winds to a close it has become pretty serious. They're pacing it with their other current series xxxHolic, it's clear they're going to end them together as the stories intertwine extensively. ::smile:: I have a grand unified theory of CLAMP and I'd bet money that they will actually tie the end of TRC & Holic in and finally end X/1999.

[identity profile] rheasilvia.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
I've been to several anime cons, yes, but not in your neck of the woods - I live in Europe. :-) And yes, I'd love to have a look at your presentation!

Juri is indeed very cool, and a wonderful character. I love her too. And I adore Wakaba. I find Mikage intensely fascinating as a character, a dark shadow of Utena - and as the hero of his own tragic tale. But my favorite by a huge margin is Saionji.

I'd bet money that they will actually tie the end of TRC & Holic in and finally end X/1999.

That would be awesome! I hope - sometimes I think it may be better if they leave the end of X/1999 open. *g* But then I grow too curious again...

But if they so tie all of the universes to X/1999 in a way that I like, I will probably read TRC & Holic too... at least in parts. :-)

[identity profile] beltenebra.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
I will get you a link to the presentation as soon as we get it up on our new website, which will hopefully be soon!

Mikage is downright fascinating! I really like what they did with him and the concept of memory. ::chuckle:: To this day I still remember the Japanese word for 'sleep' because of Nemuro Memorial Hall ^_^ I do love Saionji, I also really like the dynamic of his relationship with Touga.

As far as ending X goes, I seem to remember an interview about a year or so ago in which CLAMP said they wanted to wait until they could give X a happy ending... so we shall see. ^_^

I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said about how marvelous this fic is. I read pretty much any JE-coupling I can find as long as I know who they are is search of good authors rather that focusing on a single coupling (even though I have to admit that I too have my favourites). So when I spotted a Ryo/Junno I was rather intrigued since it seems like a rare combination. And when I started reading, I can't even describe. Your writing style, your characterizations, everything was just perfect. Shortly into the fic I had already surrendered and was just thankful for finding such a treasure. You truly are a wonderful writer and I admire how you keep the tension and the level throuhgout the story.

There was one particular passage that really had me and that in a way sums up why I love this over any other BDSM I have read lately.

"Not even if Nakamura'd introduced himself some other way than insulting Ryo and trying to order Junno around. Not even if this had all been real instead of an undercover gig. Not him. He'd try to break Junno, try to force him to submit when the entire point is that the submission is willing, voluntary. Control handed over, not ripped away. Trust, not force."

My deepest thanks to you for posting this master piece. I look forward too reading more of your work now that I have discovered you.

*blush* Wow, thank you very much - I'm really happy you enjoyed the story! :-)

So when I spotted a Ryo/Junno I was rather intrigued since it seems like a rare combination.

Yes, Ryo/Junno definitely counts as a rare pairing, I'd say - which I, for one, think is a great shame. (They go together so well, and so interestingly! But then, you already know my opinion on the matter. *g*)

I'm really glad you found the thought of the combination intriguing, and decided to give the story a try - and that it then managed to suck you in so quickly!

There was one particular passage that really had me and that in a way sums up why I love this over any other BDSM I have read lately.

It's always fascinating to know which aspects and parts of a story have the most impact on the reader, and it intrigues me that this passage worked so well - I hadn't expected it to stand out, but I think I know why it does, now that I think about it. I'm very glad that it worked so well for you!

I look forward too reading more of your work

I haven't written much in this fandom yet - and what I have is very different from this story - but I do plan to post more stories in the future, and hope that you will enjoy them as well. :-)

Thank you again for your lovely feedback!
