Really? How cool! I would love to meet them, too - they're obviously deeply involved in fanfic as well as general Trek fandom, to know that much about the Dread Mary Sue. ;-)

I will definitely check out more of their work.

I always laugh at this then remember that Kirk (especially in the reboot) is an even BIGGER Mary Sue!

Oh GOD yes. I haven't even watched the Reboot movie yet for fear of his enormous Mary Sueness. It's not like he wasn't already one in his previous incarnation, but...

The fanfic alone (which I have not resisted - oh the pretty Kirk/McCoy!) is daunting enough on the MarySue!Kirk score, and I suspect the authors have toned it down quite a bit.
