Having just cleaned up my icons, I will resurrect the icon meme [livejournal.com profile] liviapenn invented last year.
All characters depicted in my icons are listed and paired off in alphabetical order. The result: some truly startling crossovers. *g*

Arisugawa Sorata/Benton Fraser

This might actually work. Fraser has a high tolerance for annoying and hyperactive partners, and would likely take Sorata’s magical abilities and Destiny in stride. Sorata appreciates smart, dutiful and beautiful people, and isn’t put off by a bit of initial stand-offishness and social awkwardness. They’re both do-gooders, even though their style is somewhat different, so no problems there. I do see one possible point of contention, though: I’m sure Fraser will soon lose patience with Sorata’s attempts at sacrificing his life for Fraser at every turn.

Brad Crawford/Dean Winchester

...

Weiss Kreuz / Supernatural is an interesting crossover – and one that would work surprisingly well – but the pairing requires extensive brain twisting. Err. Brad is clearly hatching some evil scheme, and is in need of a freelance ghost and demon hunter to manipulate. So, he finds a bar that he knows Dean will frequent that evening and lets himself be hit on by a drunken Dean (while Sam watches in great embarrassment for a moment and then politely leaves). And things progress from there.

James T. Kirk/Klaus von dem Eberbach

This boggles the mind, but considering that *every* pairing involving Klaus boggles the mind… hm. They’d start out as comrades in arms, with Klaus coming aboard the Enterprise to carry out a mission for a Federation intelligence agency. Kirk resents having to follow someone else’s instructions and would prefer to treat it as his own mission, Klaus resents Kirk trying to meddle in his mission and would prefer to toss him out of an airlock, and eventually, they reluctantly grow to respect the other’s professional expertise.

More than grudging respect and comradeship would require an encounter with mind-altering alien spores, but since there is no shortage of those, it could happen. The truth is that Kirk is far more Klaus’ type than Dorian.

Lady of Shallott/Leonard McCoy

I like this one. :-) It makes sense – who better to treat the Lady’s rare medical condition than Dr. McCoy? And *of course* he will fall in love with his beautiful patient while finding a cure for her inability to look at the world directly. And as for her, who wouldn’t fall in love with Bones?

Methos/Monou Fuuma

Huh... maybe they meet in a bar late one night and commiserate with each other on having once nearly been the downfall of civilization. Though Methos, of course, is exaggerating shamelessly about everything but his skill in bed, and Fuuma is convinced Methos is just humoring him by pretending to believe him. He still feels better getting it all off his chest, though. Not to mention having his dick sucked by a master.

Nyota Uhura/Ohtori Akio

Looks like Akio thinks he’s found his new Rose Bride. But Uhura, what do *you* think you’re doing? Get away from that man! He is actually the embodiment of a principle that has been warped by humanity’s greed and violence, and is trying to regain himself by force!

OTOH, I’m assuming the Enterprise is already waiting in orbit for you to set Akio up properly, so that he can then be defeated by means of embarrassing voodoo concoctions cooked up by McCoy, a large and wildly blinking device built by Scotty in the space of two hours, and of course mystical Vulcan powers never mentioned before or after this episode. So carry on, by all means.

Pandora/Saionji Kyouichi

Err. Say what?

Sakurazuka Seishirou/Sam Winchester

Dear God. The Winchesters are really having a streak of bad luck with picking partners, aren’t they? Yeah, I can see Seishirou wiling away some time playing with the little ghost hunter – severe issues, sporadic visions, rather pitifully unmastered telekinesis and a demon mark, how amusing! Until he gets bored, which will be bad news for Sammy and will probably happen fairly quickly. I hope Sam’s affairs are in order, is all I can say. At least he won’t be haunting anyone.

Maybe Dean can rope Crawford into saving Sam – if he sees through Brad in time, he might have some way to exert pressure there. That’s pretty much Sam’s only shot.

Schuldig/Sesshoumaru

Scary. Sesshoumaru’s menagerie keeps growing...

This plot requires some effort, but perhaps Schuldig has attached himself to Sesshoumaru after the fall of SZ and Schwarz, because he likes attaching himself to the greatest supernatural power he can find. Sesshoumaru allows the strange human to follow him around because he allows that to anyone who is determined enough. But, since Schuldig is a telepath he can see that Sesshoumaru’s indifference is mostly an affectation... which leads to a very tempestuous relationship, I imagine. As well as at least one astonished half-brother. ;-)

Sha Gojyo/Shibata Masayoshi

Heh. Oh yes – they meet in Masayoshi’s club, where Gojyo immediately starts hitting on Masayoshi in his usual non-subtle way. They barely make it back to Masayoshi’s place before losing all of their clothes (the cab driver will never be quite the same), and proceed to have a lot of fun. The next morning, Gojyo sneaks out the door before Masayoshi wakes up. Masayoshi is in a bad mood for a day or so because everyone at the club is teasing him and he feels like a slut, but he gets over it before long. :-)

Spock/Sumeragi Subaru

LOL! Wow, this will be such an *exciting* and fun-filled relationship. I can see it now, both of them working impossible hours and hardly seeing each other during the week, and on their days off, meditating serenely next to each other on the sofa all day long. Fascinating.

At least Spock will make sure Subaru eats properly. And they might develop some amazingly brilliant theories of magic and/or the nature of the universe together.

Note: For the purposes of this meme, the first letter of the name as written in the culture in question counts. Only fictional characters get to play (which is why Audrey Hepburn and Wolfram von Eschenbach are missing out on Sorata and Subaru, respectively, and Thutmose III. avoids the fate of ending up all alone).
