help needed with finding a Saiyuki story

Gah. I've managed to misplace an excellent Saiyuki story that I wanted to recommend to [profile] solo____   - and I'm having a complete blackout concerning its title and author. Maybe one of you knows the story I mean and can point me in the right direction?

It was a very, very well-written, dark short story that's told in reverse, starting out with Sanzo shooting someone and going back in time in several steps to show how and why this event occured.

Sanzo shoots Hakkai in the very first paragraph of the story, as I remember it, to Goku's horror and incomprehension. As it turns out, Hakkai has asked Sanzo to kill him in the event of Gojyo's death; it's the only way to prevent Hakkai from going on another uncontrollable rampage like the one after Kanan's death. And Gojyo has just been killed.

Does anyone know this story? I really can't believe my bad memory. I should know this myself...

ETA: Yay, found it! [personal profile] cicer recognized the description, even though it turns out I'd twisted things around a bit in my mind.

The story I was looking for is "Down, Down, My Friends; We're Going Home" by [personal profile] harukami. If you like Saiyuki and haven't read this story yet - and if you don't mind a bit of darkness - it's definitely a story not to be missed! It's simply amazing.

Hrm...was it [livejournal.com profile] harukami's Down, Down, My Friends; We're Going Home (http://harukami.livejournal.com/455864.html)?

Yes, that's it! Thank you so much!

Ah, I see I didn't even remember it properly - except for the fact that it really is an excellent story.

Oh, yay! It's a wonderful story, yes. I love it to bits.
