Ooh, great post! I haven't got around to trying the novel, because I'm terribly out of the habit of reading and I haven't heard anything about it that's made me bump it up my mammoth TBR pile. (And ha! I didn't know novel!ZYL was a smoker. That makes so much sense. *g*)
