Summary:
Detectives Nishikido Ryo and Taguchi Junnosuke go undercover in a gay BDSM club run by the mob. Ryo is not happy about this, though not for the reasons you might expect.

Hi. I linked here through crystallekil and . . .oh my god. This is absolutely the best Junno I have ever read. This is the best BDSM I have read. I'm not even sure what to say. I am so impressed.

Your writing is beautiful and so rife with real, difficult ~emotion~. I loved how it was so stream-of-consciousness, which is something that you have to be a very good writer to do well.

I just don't know what to say. OH! oh! I am actually speechless. That is sort of new for me, so I didn't realize what it was. I am speechless.

I have one complaint, though. I want more. I feel like the ending left me hanging, wondering what's going on with Junno's side investigation and how the case involving Ragaraja will progress. You've created a fantastically intense little world here. I'd really like to see more of it.

This is absolutely the best Junno I have ever read. This is the best BDSM I have read. I'm not even sure what to say. I am so impressed.

*blush* Now I'm not sure what to say either. :-) Except - yay, I am very glad to hear that you liked the story so much - and especially this version of Junno! (I was initially a bit anxious whether he'd come out well enough as a character when the story is from Ryo's POV, and am very glad that he does seem to stand his ground. *g*)

Junno and Ryo will of course bring Tomo's murderers to justice together, with many a cheerful pun and snarky grumble along the way. And the Ragaraja investigation will indeed become an asset to the Inagawa-kai investigation as a whole, and that... that would be enough plot for a novel, or a series of novels. :-) And I already have way too many stories in progress!

I can't begin to tell you how much I love you for writing this. Ryo/Junno has always been a rare pairing that I loved to read. Not only that, but you have also brought in another rare pairing I would love to see more of, Ohkura/Junno. Though bondage has never been something I'm found of, I had no problem diving into this fic and loving it to pieces. It is truly an amazing fic. ^^

Okay...I don't read fics very often at all, but a friend sent this to me because it was Junno/Ryo. I've only ever read one other Junno/Ryo fic... and I was mostly disappointed. But this, this was brilliant. It's late/early, and I'm far from eloquent, but I can't say how amazing it was. Your depiction of Junno was so spot on. He's such a mix of characteristics and it's so rare for someone to tap into that.

I loved every bit of this, and my Ryo/Junno fangirl is now in utter bliss. Thank you. ♥

I'm very glad you enjoyed the story - and particularly the characterization of Junno. I agree with you entirely, of course; Junno is very far from being the one-dimensional clown he's sometimes seen as. The closer you look, the more facets there are to him... which is a large part of what makes him so interesting to me, particularly when it comes to writing him. So (long story short) it's great to hear that my portrayal rang so true to you even in the AU context. :-)

I doubt that even the words I'm managing to come up with right now are really enough to express how thoroughly impressed I am with this. How you managed to capture Ryo's and Junno's characters and create their entire world in such PERFECT WRITING is beyond me, but I heartily approve!

Everything about this fic is just right to me. When I saw the pairing at first I was like, "Hm...I don't know", but you totally had me hooked by the first few paragraphs. When I noticed the length of it I actually limited how much I'd read daily just so I could enjoy this for three whole days.

I definitely expect to for a while yet. Fairness compels me to add that I am a slow and unreliable writer at best, but it's safe to say that as long as I'm in this fandom at all, I will keep writing Junno. :-)

I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said about how marvelous this fic is. I read pretty much any JE-coupling I can find as long as I know who they are is search of good authors rather that focusing on a single coupling (even though I have to admit that I too have my favourites). So when I spotted a Ryo/Junno I was rather intrigued since it seems like a rare combination. And when I started reading, I can't even describe. Your writing style, your characterizations, everything was just perfect. Shortly into the fic I had already surrendered and was just thankful for finding such a treasure. You truly are a wonderful writer and I admire how you keep the tension and the level throuhgout the story.

There was one particular passage that really had me and that in a way sums up why I love this over any other BDSM I have read lately.

"Not even if Nakamura'd introduced himself some other way than insulting Ryo and trying to order Junno around. Not even if this had all been real instead of an undercover gig. Not him. He'd try to break Junno, try to force him to submit when the entire point is that the submission is willing, voluntary. Control handed over, not ripped away. Trust, not force."

Yes, Ryo/Junno definitely counts as a rare pairing, I'd say - which I, for one, think is a great shame. (They go together so well, and so interestingly! But then, you already know my opinion on the matter. *g*)

I want to know how the things with Nakamura works out, and if Uchi will pose a problem for the partners. Oh, and I want to see how Junno's personal case plays out. And... that would be enough plot for a novel, or a series of novels. :-) And I already have way too many stories in progress!

Late comments are just as nice as the other kind - in some ways, I'm always especially glad for late comments because they make me feel the story hasn't been forgotten yet. And that's a very good feeling to have!

Yay! It's really great that the Ragaraja seems so realistic. :-) I'm sure that there are many details of this club that won't be found anywhere but in our imagination; I did do fairly extensive research, but in the end, this is still fiction, and I have felt free to build the Ragaraja as it suited my story.

It's always surprising to me that he is evidently taken as an idiot by some fans... it seems so absolutely clear to me that he is anything but. I can only think that some of the fans pay no attention whatsoever to the man himself, but simply adopt some handy (and sadly absolutely inaccurate) stereotypes floating around.

Yes, the storyline is somewhat secondary to the sex in this story, though I do feel it is very important - in terms of characterization, motivation, dramatic tension and more. But if you wanted to define this story's genre, I think it can most accurately be called a Plot What Plot with plot. *g*

oh. my. fucking. god.

I've spent all day reading this, and there were parts that just went over my fucking head and there were parts where I laughed and parts where I cried and parts where I just felt the need to kick something, and parts where my toes curled and I flushed and all I could do was smile and feel warmth inside. People say follow the rainbow and there will be a pot of gold at the end, but if you follow the rainbow on LJ, you're gonna end up with this. Ryo/Junno is a pairing that I never thought I'd read and, god dammit, there were parts where I just had to sit and fucking read a paragraph twice over. Junno is so well portrayed, showing the other side of Junno, where he isn't all smiles and crappy jokes. Showing a well-known side of Ryo, but with just a hint of vulnerability and indecisiveness and oh dear god this story was fucking amazing. I keep wanting to just fucking read it over and over.

All I can say other than this is... well fucking done. I thank The Lord and Jesus that I've found this fic and, frankly, I will never forget it.

I read this a while ago and got confused about how to comment. (It seems so easy now that I'm not quite sure what went wrong then, lol.) I absolutely adored it.
