In a bid to finally tackle some of my constantly multiplying Guardian WIPs and languishing story ideas, I've joined Camp NaNoWriMo! The wordcount metric probably won't be particularly useful for me, given the amount of desperate plot shuffling and editing I expect to happen, but I hope the deadline will help push me into gear.

Are you also taking part in Camp NaNoWriMo? If so, let's be writing buddies. :-)

Also, this raises the question:

Which WIP should I start with?

Also, in a surprise twist, I have great titles for two of these stories already, and several pretty nice ideas for the last one. I am still so delighted and surprised when this happens!

*coughs* You left out the one that's not Guardian at all but has Egyptians.

Write the one you fancy most. Just don't start a new one. Pretty please.

ALL of them, of course! *g*

(But really, whichever one you feel like.)

Tragic indeed!

(The real tragedy, though, is that we need to actually write stories to be able to read them. Why can't they just magically appear?!)

I just joined - I've never done NaNo before and have no idea what I'm doing (today's challenge: how do you update how many words you've written???), but I would love to be buddies! I'm trying to get myself motivated, so we'll see how it works. :\

I'm not participating, but I had a good time doing Write Every Day last month (for most of the month, anyway), and if you want to talk about writing progress, I'd totally be game! (Although, I am writing RPF and will definitely talk about that, so if that's not your thing, feel free to decline. <3)

If I haven't scared you off yet, contact me on discord? I like summing up daily progress, but am not motivated enough to do WED again a second month in a row, so.

Last but not least, you're writing Guardian, and that totally needs to be encouraged. :D

Sadly, I've already well and truly failed at it this month, argh.

Me too! ;D But I managed last month, that's gotta be enough. ;)

I'd love to chat about writing with you, and I have no issues with RPF (it's not my thing in this fandom, so I wouldn't have anything to contribute there, but I've read and written enormous amounts of it in other fandoms *g*).

Okay, that's perfectly fine! It would just have been awkward if you'd said "please don't mention RPF in my presence" because then I wouldn't have had anything to talk about. Oops. :)

I have not yet made my Discord debut, however;

Well, I don't go to any Discord servers, either. Keeping up with those is just as high-speed and stressful as Twitter. But I love it as a chat tool for private chats (1 on 1, or you can also create your own groups).

It is easy to use, comfortable, and has good notificaiton capabilities.

(I have the vaguest memory of being in a fannish Discord chat once back in XMFC, but it might also have been a different platform entirely...)

So you might still have your username. The usernames are globally unique, but the server landscape is distributed, so you can be on different servers (or none).

You can contact me directly under my username without ever having to step foot into a server. *g* (fangirlishness#5609)

Looking forward to chatting with you! (Maybe that will actually make me write something this month... :))

Heya! Since we haven't managed to chat yet, I thought I'd just tell you about my writing progress this month here?

I didn't do anything over Easter, I was way too exhausted to do anything creative. I caught up a little this week, and now I think I've found my way back into my Dreamlike!Mechanic Threesome story. It's been missing a middle part for the longest time, and I have been chipping away at it all week (300 words at a time), and I am having fun with that.

How's your month going?
