Are you also taking part in Camp NaNoWriMo? If so, let's be writing buddies. :-)
Also, this raises the question:
Which WIP should I start with?
The oldest one
2 (6.9%)
The one closest to being finished
15 (51.7%)
The one with unexpectely significant vegetables and unexpectedly insignificant demon-worshipping cults
8 (27.6%)
The one with annoying cats and fathers (and annoyingly stubborn love interests)
4 (13.8%)
The one with Ye Olde Haixing
5 (17.2%)
The one with timey wimey shenanigans
6 (20.7%)
The one with completely different timey wimey shenanigans
5 (17.2%)
The one with a lot of blood in the past
4 (13.8%)
The one with somewhat less blood in the present (probably, it's hard to say)
6 (20.7%)
Whichever one is sparkliest at that moment
19 (65.5%)
The one you will actually finish!!
12 (41.4%)
Seriously, just start writing again
15 (51.7%)
There is no try
8 (27.6%)
ALL OF THEM
4 (13.8%)
Also, in a surprise twist, I have great titles for two of these stories already, and several pretty nice ideas for the last one. I am still so delighted and surprised when this happens!

Date: 2020-04-02 12:17 pm (UTC)I will try not to start a new one. Honest. Not even the really really short one. Just a snippet, really. I mean. Not even that.
ETA: NIX! Not merman! Honestly. *headdesk*

Date: 2020-04-02 01:24 pm (UTC)(The real tragedy, though, is that we need to actually write stories to be able to read them. Why can't they just magically appear?!)

Last but not least, you're writing Guardian, and that totally needs to be encouraged. :D

Date: 2020-04-06 11:52 pm (UTC)I'd love to chat about writing with you, and I have no issues with RPF (it's not my thing in this fandom, so I wouldn't have anything to contribute there, but I've read and written enormous amounts of it in other fandoms *g*). I have not yet made my Discord debut, however; I confess I am pretty overwhelmed by the sheer number of social media platforms these days, and have long since given up any attempt of keeping up with Twitter and Tumblr (let alone Pinterest and Instagram and Snapchat and whatnot). But I will see about at least having a look at Discord!
(I have the vaguest memory of being in a fannish Discord chat once back in XMFC, but it might also have been a different platform entirely...)

Date: 2020-04-08 07:57 pm (UTC)Me too! ;D But I managed last month, that's gotta be enough. ;)

Okay, that's perfectly fine! It would just have been awkward if you'd said "please don't mention RPF in my presence" because then I wouldn't have had anything to talk about. Oops. :)
I have not yet made my Discord debut, however;
Well, I don't go to any Discord servers, either. Keeping up with those is just as high-speed and stressful as Twitter. But I love it as a chat tool for private chats (1 on 1, or you can also create your own groups).
It is easy to use, comfortable, and has good notificaiton capabilities.

So you might still have your username. The usernames are globally unique, but the server landscape is distributed, so you can be on different servers (or none).
You can contact me directly under my username without ever having to step foot into a server. *g* (fangirlishness#5609)
Looking forward to chatting with you! (Maybe that will actually make me write something this month... :))

Date: 2020-04-18 07:12 pm (UTC)I didn't do anything over Easter, I was way too exhausted to do anything creative. I caught up a little this week, and now I think I've found my way back into my Dreamlike!Mechanic Threesome story. It's been missing a middle part for the longest time, and I have been chipping away at it all week (300 words at a time), and I am having fun with that.
How's your month going?

Date: 2020-04-22 02:24 am (UTC)Yeeeah, I hear you. My month has been disappointing so far, in that I've also been too generally blah to get any writing done. Or even to consistently keep up with DW and take part in the character discussions on SID_guardian... argh. But I have occasionally looked at a story, and written a sentence or two. There's always tomorrow...
It's great that you got back into the swing of things! I very much hope the trend continues. I will do my best to join you! :-)
