Oh, Junno. Why?

I like to call the item of clothing Junno is modelling here The Yellow Pants of Horror.



I mean - bright lemon yellow. Diaper space at the top. Unflattering tight-yet-shapeless-and-wrinkly fit. Open zippers at the ankles. Need I say more?



Meet The Florida Pensioner Suit.



This thing makes Junno look like an octogenarian millionaire reposing in a pool-side chair in some expensive resort in Miami during the filming of "Some Like It Hot". A cute octogenarian millionaire who has a real shot at snagging Jack Lemmon right under Osgood's nose, yes. But still.



Here, Junno pioneers the "victim of marauding denim pushers" look. Brave, but foolhardy...



To compound the horror, the denim monstrosity was evidently meant for someone shorter; Junno cleverly tries to disguise that fact by rolling up the legs. For reasons known only to himself, he also chooses to accessorize with a pink belt and yellow glasses.


Time to face the music, Taguchi.

What are the worst fashion crimes the other KAT-TUN members have committed*? Do you know of other horrors Junno has inflicted upon the eyes of innocent fans*? Shock me with the evidence!

* In the interest of fairness, though, no photoshoot pics where they were obviously forced to don whatever horror it is they're wearing. Just stuff they seem to have picked out themselves. Also no stage costumes... that's a different crime scene. ;-)


ETA: I have since been informed that Junno can't be blamed for the heinous crime of The Denim Monstrosity - it was actually perpetrated by a cruel comedian who made him wear it! Poor innocent Junno, I have wronged him grievously.

On the other hand, what does it say that I believed him fully capable of wearing that thing of his own free will? *g*

I really want to know his reasoning behind that last outfit (and the accessories alkjdlf). OH TAGUCHI. Somehow, he still manages to be adorable.

The denim monster seems to be off to a promising start... it *is* horrible, isn't it. God yes, I so want to know wtf he was thinking that morning.

Maybe he was dressed nicely on the way to the studio, but a passing car splashed him with mud from head to toe, and so he had to borrow a jumpsuit that was lying around backstage, and, uh, the glasses kind of fell onto his nose as he was walking through the door of the set... uhm. Okay, probably not, but...

He can't help being adorable. It's his nature. :-)

(But I have to say, in the last picture he remindes me a bit of Brendon from Panic at the Disco! (see my icon) Brendon probably would also wear the pink belt and the glasses, but probably not the denim suit.)

I totally agree on all of these being serious crimes - but I don't think neither the yellow pants nor the denim coverall are Junno's fault (I don't know about the other outfit).
The yellos jeans - where is that picture from? I saw it, but I don't remember where. Calendar? Magazine? It's one of these choices - and for both the boys have to wear the clothes they are given. Same goes for their TV show, which would explain the denim-catastrophy. So rather than doubting Junnos taste we should get a good, firm grip around the neck of the stylist...

True - in many cases, it's very hard to tell which clothes are their own choice and which are provided. You're kinder than I am in giving Junno the benefit of the doubt here...

Unfortunately, I don't know which shoot the yellow pants are from; I found the pic on a messageboard with no info on where and when it was published. (The original has Ueda leaning against the building to Junno's right.)

So rather than doubting Junnos taste we should get a good, firm grip around the neck of the stylist...

*g* That definitely can't be wrong, because the crimes of the stylists are indeed horrible and legion! I excluded a huge number of atrocities from this post because they were obviously perpetrated on Junno by stylists... *shudders at the memory*

They were all horrific, but I had to go with the yellow pants. KAT-TUN and yellow do not mix. I am basing this opinion on the fact that they all looked terrible hosting 24ji TV in 2006.

The Denim Jumpsuit of Doom, although to be fair it wasn't his choice.
He was made to wear that as an example of 80's fashion by a female comedian on CTKT and personally Kame's was WORSE.
I just wonder if they even check a mirror before they leave the house?

Oh, he was? Didn't realize that! Yes, that does excuse it. Poor Junno, I have accused him of a fashion crime he was innocent of! (I hardly dare contemplate what horror Kame was wearing... well, I'll get to that ep of CTKT at some point and find out myself. *g*)

That still leaves the other two outfits unexcused, of course. *g*

Scarily enough, I imagine them checking and thinking "wow, very snazzy! now if I just add this beige furry hat / pair of yellow glasses / random pink hula skirt, I will be the king of coolness".

I have since discovered that the Denim Jumpsuit of Doom was evidently not Junno's idea - a guest on Cartoon KAT-TUN is the new prime suspect. I still think it's horrible enough to be part of this poll, but to be fair... there are mitigating circumstances. ;-)

The denim jumpsuit of doom, while obviously hideous, shouldn't count because it was put on during Cartoon KAT-TUN at a guest's request (rhyme!), for the sake of comedy. It's not a fashion faux-pas so much as a prop for a prolonged gag. The white-ish suit tho, with that hat and those glasses..... I have no excuses for that one.

I voted for the white suit myself... I'm actually rather surprised it doesn't seem to offend as many people as the other two crimes. I mean... the hat. The glasses. *Everything!*

The denim jumpsuit isn't that bad, considering he was wearing it in an episode of Cartoon KAT-TUN where Kame sports a pink cap, jeans pulled up really high, bright belt and the legs of the jeans turned up.

Kame has some other hideous outfits (sorry I can't find the pictures right now). Like the jacket made from towel material, I think it was green and orange, then there's a photo where he's wearing a pink t-shirt, gray plaid pants with a matching gray plaid waistcoat and red patent shoes. >_<.
And the pink shapeless pants that looks too short.

God yes, I remember that, that was awful. (However, photo shoot, poor Kame was probably made to wear that, too). And what does it say about the influence of JE on my fashion perception that the only thing that really bugged me about that outfit were the shoes??

the denim monster was the result of edo harumi who wanted junno and kame to wear the 80s fashion. but then again, kame didn't look as bad as junno did.
hahaha.... but i chose the second one the pensioner suit. the yellow pants just didnt look as atrocious compared to the other 2.

Hm, all in all I prefer it when he doesn't wear really tight pants too - it makes his legs look very very skinny, and since they're also very long, he can end up looking like a stick insect.

Junno does have excellent qualifications for wearing things that would drop people at 20 paces on anyone else. :-) But I also think he just dresses better than some of the other members... at least most of the time. Sometimes, he does slip up. *g*
