Just in case one of you hasn't come across this canon yet: I Ship My Adversary x Me is a m/m cnovel, and is the most adorable, fluffy crack. It features an adorable, fluffy, very handsome and extremely bad actor beginning to believe in (and ship!) the romantic relationship a group of fans are convinced exists between him and his rival.

I think my favorite thing about the book is the ridiculous, adorable way the main character sees the world and thinks about things. An example of him marvelling at how fan-servicy his "´rival" is being lately:

Honestly speaking, ever since last night where for the second time, he tossed me a huge piece of fluff just as I was feeling despondent, whenever I see him about to throw me another piece of fluff now, I only want to lie down and shout, “Throw it! Throw it everywhere! Throw it on my face! Throw it more accurately! Don’t only throw a little at me because you think I’m weak and fragile!”

I just want to cuddle him. ;-)

I love that novel! I'll give it a bit longer though before I re-read it again - the updates are coming too slowly these days.

Yeah, you're right about the slow updates, but strangely enough, in this case I don't mind. I actually think I like this story better in small installments.

That's actually the first time I felt that way, I think. Weird... I think it's because there's not much of a plot, so there's no dramatic tension to dissipate, and much as I love the style, I love it more in smaller bites. ;-)

LOL! Yeah, it's probably going to be a WIP for a long time. As I said to Solo, in this specific case I don't mind that, but it's definitely something to take into account!

I keep meaning to move forward with this (I have a weird relationship with c-novels wherein I never seem to finish one, but this particular plot line and writing is SO FUN)! I'm glad it's getting updated!

Oh man, I totally get the "not finishing" thing. I think I haven't finished a single cnovel yet, not even those that were already fully translated when I started reading...

In my case, I think it's a combination of the novels either NOT being fully translated (when reading in installments, my interest tends to fade), or being very long and having plot slumps that cause me to lose interest, OR (in the case of m/m novels) the relationship or sex going in a direction that I don't want to follow.

YES! It's so light, charming and fluffy. In this particular case, reading in installments doesn't actually bother me either. I think this novel is best enjoyed in small portions! :-)

It's so cute! :-) Pure fluff. I don't even mind the fact that it's basically all misunderstandings and people being obtuse. ;-)
