Brief Game of Thrones thoughts

Oh, great. So I gather Bran the Boring really is going to be King one day, when the dust finally settles. Somehow I've been fearing this outcome right from the start. It must have been the pretentiousness portentousness that's always surrounded him in a big, omen!- and mystical-power!-infused, numbingly boring cloud.

Le sigh. I really hope I'm wrong...

Also, nobody ever dies on this show. Even that twerp Theon is still alive. (I mean, really. Why? I have a hard time thinking he still has interesting plot uses in him...)

And Sanza... nooo. I'd really hoped she'd turn into a cool-headed and dangerously subtle tactician. She seemed to be well on her way! But in the first eps of this new season, she seems entirely helpless, naive and passive again. Not to mention ready to trust anyone who sends a little warmth her way.

On a positive note, I'm finding Marjorie quite fascinating, and would almost feel sorry for Joffrey if I didn't despise the little toad so much. Talk about getting in over one's poisonous little crowned head.

Also, at long last, the dynamic between Jaime Lannister and Brienne is beginning to become interesting.

Nein, ich weiß es nicht - bitte nicht spoilern!!

Als das erste Buch veröffentlicht wurde, habe ich es gelesen, aber es hat mich gar nicht mitgerissen und ich habe mir die Fortsetzungen nie beschafft. Ich kann mich auch an rein gar nichts aus dem Buch erinnern, das ich gelesen habe; irgendwann will ich nochmal reinschauen um zu sehen, ob es mir inzwischen besser gefällt... momentan gucke ich aber nur die Serie.

Ich habe die Bücher auch nicht gelesen, nur die Zusammenfassungen auf Wikipedia, weil ich nicht Zeit und Emotionen auf einen Charakter verschwenden möchte, der dann eh nur sinnlos abgemurkst wird. Bin jedenfalls gespannt, wie Du auf einige Sachen reagieren wirst.
